3D Printing Technology in Siddha Medicine is an emerging interdisciplinary area with potential to integrate the principles and therapeutic knowledge of Siddha with advanced additive manufacturing technologies. It may facilitate the development of personalised Siddha medicines, 3D-printed tablets and novel dosage forms, controlled and targeted drug-delivery systems, personalised Kayakarpam delivery systems, and 3D models and simulators for Siddha education and training. The technology may also have applications in the development of medical, surgical, diagnostic, laboratory and procedural devices, as well as 3D-bioprinted models for Siddha research and validation of Siddha medicines, including investigations in regenerative medicine. This emerging field could therefore provide a new technological platform for Siddha pharmaceutics, personalised medicine, drug delivery, medical education, research and innovation, subject to scientific validation and the applicable regulatory framework and approval of the competent regulatory authority.
